My many works focus on the African Diaspora, women, spiritualism, urban and suburban societies. I tend to combine some of these themes in my work or into a single piece. My mediums include sculpture, assemblage, collage, photography and digital design. I am heavily inspired by cross cultural representations in art. Confronting and exploring history through visual art with a unique way of storytelling is always my goal. My techniques are collaging and image transfer on wood/canvas. I often use found objects and create layered surfaces to tell a visual story. My more recent works explore LGBTQ & political themes. As well as autobiographical topics, such as growing up biracial & catholic. My intent is to push boundaries, explore societal roles, reframe the past, compare and confront stereotypes that still exist in the modern era. |

YARDLEY SOAP FACTORY STUDIO - UNION CITY, NJ
Below is my former (favorite) Studio Space, in my hometown of Union City, NJ. Growing up I walked to school past this Factory everyday. Now it is a great Industrial/Art Studio Space , still with the best views of our Manhattan skyline.
